The Unit for Integrative Zoology is involved in teaching the programs Bachelor of Science "Biology", Bachelor of Education "Biology and Environmental Studies" and Master of Science "Zoology". Our overarching aim is to impart an intimate understanding of animal diversity. Thus, we offer a broad range of lectures, seminars, practical courses, excursions and supervised research projects that cover all aspects of animal biology, such as morphology, physiology, taxonomy, evolution, phylogeny, development, ecology, behavior and conservation. In order to prepare our students for their future careers paths, we further emphasize on field and lab work as well as scientific reading, writing and communication.
